Mid-Counties Waste Management Services Limited was established in 1998 by Paul Harris, our MD. Based in Burton-on-Trent, we offer a complete management of waste streams including chemical and recyclable materials, but primarily waste generated from Interceptor servicing. We employ 18 members of staff and work closely with a network of partners to offer legal disposal of industrial and commercial waste nationwide, as well as providing bespoke services such as High-pressure jetting and CCTV drainage surveys.
We service large and small customers contractually and on an ad-hoc basis using our fleet of modern and well equipped Vacuum-tanker trucks, High pressure jetting vans and our box body truck capable of transporting waste mattress. Here at Mid-Counties Waste, we are proud to hold the latest 2015 revision of ISO9001 and ISO14001, as well as being certified for the Safe Contractor scheme. These accreditations are evidence of our ongoing efforts in achieving a superior service. Please feel free to download our latest certifications and Insurance policies in the Downloads section.
How often should my drainage interceptor be cleared?
Environmental Agency PPG3 guideline indicates interceptors are to be checked every 6 months and tested for integrity every 5 years. On average we service interceptors on a 6 monthly basis as per guidelines, this ensures the deposits are uplifted so they can remain free flowing. Sands, grits and sludge – as it is industrially known- are permitted residues to be removed by our tankers, although any interceptor found to contain more than 5% oil will be refused and this will require further specialist attention.
Can you handle my non-commercial jet washing requirements?
We are happy to consider non-commercial jet washing dependent upon scale of operation. Our equipment is very high pressure, around 3000psi and is therefore suited to larger spaces and tasks and as such is not typically recommended for small areas of decking or patio. As a responsible business, we need proof of your employees competency when working on our site.
Can you demonstrate this?
Yes, all of our staff have continual development training during their career with us. All operatives have been through our internal, mentor led training as well as a WJA approved High Pressure Jetting course to get the seal of approval on their competence. All Operatives are required to carry their qualification card on the job and will be more than happy to display this for you. In addition to this, all employees go through external led courses throughout the year. Course topics can vary from driving safely through to manual handling to ensure we remain knowledgeable, professional and most importantly; safe in all that we do.
I may require regular contractual work for my nationwide plant hire depots. Could you accommodate such large requirements?
